Studio Hatcham Architects is a RIBA Chartered Practice based in London and Devon, led by Hallam Tucker and Henry Battey.
We are interested in crafting beautiful spaces through careful observation and consideration, ensuring long-lasting enjoyment and continued use. Our approach is responsible, deeply interrogating existing structures and valuing historic fabric to reinvigorate complex and historically rich settings. New construction aims to provide maximum benefit with minimal environmental impact.
Our projects encompass new build homes, careful renovations to existing buildings, sensitive works to Listed Buildings, and extensions in diverse settings. We collaborate closely with our clients to preserve the character of buildings while carefully modifying or adding elements to suit each unique brief.
Considerable attention is dedicated to the internal spaces, incorporating intricate joinery and finishes tailored to suit the use and environment. Proposals consistently enhance functionality, providing a responsive backdrop for our clients’ evolving needs and lives.
The practice has also been highlighted in prominent publications such as New Architect’s 4, The Architects' Journal and Architecture Today.
Prior to establishing Studio Hatcham, Henry and Hallam gained significant experience as Project Architects on high-profile residential, temporary installation, and retail projects. After independently contributing to Manser Medal-shortlisted homes, they collaboratively established Studio Hatcham Architects.
