Studio Hatcham Architects is a RIBA Chartered Practice based in London and Devon, led by Hallam Tucker and Henry Battey.

We are interested in making beautiful spaces through observation and careful consideration that provide long-lasting enjoyment and continued use. Our work is responsible through interrogating existing structures and valuing historic fabric to reinvigorate complex and historic settings. New construction seeks to provide maximum benefit with minimal environmental impact.

Our ideas and interests are presented through our completed projects. Alongside new build projects and interventions, the careful renovations of existing buildings produce a range of outcomes: sensitive works to Listed Buildings, the conversion of buildings to create new spaces and homes, and the extension of a range of buildings in varying settings. We work closely with our clients to preserve the character of buildings whilst carefully modifying or adding elements to suit each brief. Considerable attention is given to the internal spaces, incorporating intricate joinery and finishes to suit the use and environment. Proposals enhance functionality and provide the backdrop for our Client’s needs and lives.
