Remodelling of an Edwardian House
Haringey, London 2022
Transforming an Edwardian terrace in Haringey, the project demonstrates how careful design interventions—including limited and restrained alterations to the masonry structure—and the reuse of existing materials can create new, functional spaces on an economical budget. This approach allowed for the integration of functional joinery and a flexible kitchen, featuring a moveable island that can be wheeled into various locations to suit the different needs and occasions of the family.
The stepped footprint allows the garden to retain the privacy of a terrace. Colour and texture are added in the garden through familiar materials, creating an unexpected and rich pocket within a densely residential area of London.
