Splay House

The client’s brief was to utilise an awkward and relatively tight space. Adding a new side infill extension provides invaluable additional floorspace, whilst a long concave-shaped rooflight ensures the tree line in the garden beyond remains visible from deep in the plan. With both clients being artists there was a need to retain a well-lit flank wall where work could be displayed.
